Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 5, 2026

At Resize Photos Free ("we", "our", or "us"), your privacy is our top priority. This Privacy Policy outlines the types of personal information that is received and collected by our website and how it is used.

1. Local Image Processing (No Uploads)

Our core service is image compression, resizing, and format conversion. We want to be completely transparent: your images are never uploaded to our servers. All image processing is done locally within your web browser using JavaScript. We do not store, view, or have any access to the images you process using our tools.

2. Information We Collect

Since our tools operate client-side, we do not require you to create an account or provide personal information to use the basic features of the site. However, we may collect standard log information and use analytics and advertising tracking technologies.

3. Log Files

Like many other websites, Resize Photos Free makes use of log files. The information inside the log files includes internet protocol (IP) addresses, type of browser, Internet Service Provider (ISP), date/time stamp, referring/exit pages, and number of clicks to analyze trends, administer the site, track user's movement around the site, and gather demographic information. IP addresses and other such information are not linked to any information that is personally identifiable.

4. Cookies and Web Beacons

We use cookies to store information about visitors' preferences, record user-specific information on which pages the user accesses or visits, and customize web page content based on visitors' browser type or other information that the visitor sends via their browser.

Google Analytics

We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors engage with our site. Google Analytics uses cookies to collect information anonymously and report website trends without identifying individual visitors. You can learn more about Google Analytics' data practices at Google Privacy Policy.

Google AdSense and the DoubleClick DART Cookie

  • Google, as a third-party vendor, uses cookies to serve ads on Resize Photos Free.
  • Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to our users based on their visit to our site and/or other sites on the Internet.
  • Users may opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings. (Alternatively, you can opt out of a third-party vendor's use of cookies for personalized advertising by visiting www.aboutads.info).

5. Third-Party Privacy Policies

You should consult the respective privacy policies of these third-party ad servers for more detailed information on their practices as well as for instructions about how to opt-out of certain practices. Our Privacy Policy does not apply to, and we cannot control the activities of, such other advertisers or web sites.

6. Data Retention

We retain server log data for a maximum of 26 months. Google Analytics data is retained according to Google's data retention policies, which you can configure in your account settings. Since we do not collect personal information directly (no user accounts, no form data stored on our servers beyond what our contact form provider processes), there is minimal personal data retained.

When you contact us via our support form, your message is processed by our third-party form provider (Formspree). We retain support correspondence for as long as necessary to resolve your inquiry and for up to 12 months thereafter.

7. Your Rights Under GDPR

If you are a resident of the European Economic Area (EEA), the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, you have certain data protection rights under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). These include:

  • Right to Access: You have the right to request copies of your personal data that we hold.
  • Right to Rectification: You have the right to request that we correct any information you believe is inaccurate or complete information you believe is incomplete.

  • Right to Delete: You have the right to request the deletion of your personal information, subject to certain exceptions.

9. Children's Privacy

Resize Photos Free is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and you are aware that your child has provided us with personal data, please contact us at support@resizephotosfree.com. If we become aware that we have collected personal data from a child under 13 without verification of parental consent, we will take steps to remove that information from our servers.

10. Data Security

We take the security of your data seriously. Our website is served over HTTPS (SSL/TLS encryption), ensuring that data transmitted between your browser and our servers is encrypted. Since all image processing occurs locally in your browser, your image data is never transmitted over the network. We employ industry-standard security measures to protect the limited data we do collect (log files and analytics).

11. International Data Transfers

Our website is hosted and may be accessed globally. Third-party services we use, such as Google Analytics and Google AdSense, may process data in countries outside your country of residence, including the United States. These services have their own privacy policies and data processing agreements that govern international transfers. By using our website, you acknowledge that your data may be processed internationally by these third-party service providers.

12. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, technology, legal requirements, or other factors. When we make changes, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this Privacy Policy periodically to stay informed about how we are protecting your information.

13. Consent

By using our website, you hereby consent to our privacy policy and agree to its terms.
